Objective

Design and supply of a large fermentation unit for alcohol production in the food and beverage industry in northern England. The project included fermentation tanks, yeast propagation vessels, and large-scale storage tanks.

Technical Specifications

Fermentation Tanks (No. 4):
• Working Volume: 1,386 m³ each
• Dimensions: Ø13.5 m × H 10 m
• Material: Stainless Steel AISI 304/304L

Yeast Propagation Tank (No. 1):
• Working Volume: 360 m³
• Dimensions: Ø6 m × H 13.5 m

Stillages Tank (No. 1):
• Working Volume: 2,190 m³
• Dimensions: Ø13.5 m × H 16 m
• Material: AISI 304L

Key Strengths

All tanks were designed in compliance with European regulations and built to ensure long-term durability and safety under high-intensity production environments. The environmental conditions at the installation site (Selby, UK)—including wind loads, snow loads, and ambient stresses—were fully integrated into the structural design.
