"SINCE 1970 TO TODAY..."

CITAL was born from owner's experience and spirit, Armando Lenardi, who founded the company of the same name in 1970 operating in heat generation and field maintenance for one of the major Italian paper mills, Burgo Spa.

Over the years, the increasing knowledge in processing of special and stainless steel material oriented the company core business towards pressurized and not pressurized equipment for oil & gas, chemical, food, paper mill and power field. In 1984, the company was renamed CITAL Srl and moved to new facility with larger office and workshop, located in Verzuolo (Italy).

Today CITAL Srl is a family owned company on the global market, with over 40 years of experience in design and construction of carbon and stainless steel mechanical equipment, erected in our shop and/or field for oil & gas, chemical, food and beverage and power industries.

CITAL Srl was founded, acronym: costruzione impianti termoindustriali Armando Lenardi

1985

Building of the 1st workshop facility (2.400 m2 22,500 ft2) in Verzuolo industrial area.

1990

Entry on international market thanks to the first shop and site project in Europe.

2000

CITAL Srl keeps growing in turnover and quality terms. The company is certified ISO9001 and exports product around the world.

2005

  • CITAL Srl is qualified AD2000-Merkblatt HP0 / HP 100.
  • CITAL Srl develops the 1st semi-automatic plant for site erection of storage tanks up to 60 tons.
  • CITAL Srl is one of the firsts European companies successful in DUPLEX material processing in shop and site.

2009

  • Building of the 2nd workshop facility (1.600 m2 - 17,000 ft2) and office (500m2 – 5,400 ft2) in Verzuolo.
  • CITAL Srl is qualified ASME and U STAMP certified.
  • CITAL Srl increases the site equipment for tank erection up to 100tons

2010

CITAL Srl products are registered at US NATIONAL BOARD.

2011

CITAL Srl obtain the title of "CENTRO DI TRASFORMAZIONE" in according to Italian Law (January 14th, 2008)

2012

CITAL Srl is EN3834-2 certified for welding processes.

2013

CITAL Srl increases the shop equipment for steel plate curving up to 100 mm thick and 3 meter width

2014

  • CITAL Srl obtain the EN 1090-1:2009/A1:2011 certification for steel structure in execution class 1, 2 and 3; CE:2; 3a and 3b stamped
  • Welding procedure qualification records qualified by notify body (RIINA, TUV, Bureau Veritas; Italian Institute of Welding). 200 Welder qualification.

2015

  • CITAL Srl develops two more plant for site erection up to 150 and 300 tons.
  • CITAL Srl opens branch office in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, TEXAS under the name of CITAL US
  • CITAL Srl open branch in SINGAPORE, under the name of CITAL SG PTE LTD, which works in collaboration with local partner.
